Cooling and Cleansing for Hot Pitta Days

Cooling and cleansing, this is a great summer meal after a long week (or weekend!). Mung dal is light and helps to stoke the digestive fire and burn toxins. Burdock root is cooling and cleansing to the liver, blood and lymphatic system; its diuretic effects aid in the elimination of toxins.

About: Burdock root is diuretic and liver cleansing – drink lots of water after eating (wait about 30 minutes). Coconut oil, coriander, fennel and lime are cooling.
